Ka La‘i Ola was established as a temporary housing community to provide safe, independent living for up to 1,500 wildfire survivors over five years. The development includes 450 modular residential units—studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes—each fully equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. Designed to restore stability and dignity, Ka La‘i Ola offers families the foundation to heal, rebuild, and move forward together.
KKL Collective supported the planning, coordination, and communication efforts for Ka La‘i Ola, working alongside partners to bring this vital housing community to life. Once complete, Ka La‘i Ola will provide safe, independent housing for up to 1,500 wildfire survivors, offering essential amenities and a supportive environment for recovery. Through this effort, families will have the stability and resources needed to heal, rebuild, and restore hope for the future.
